Pay day porn: third edition

Here is my round up of the things I'm lusting after this month. Some I'll purchase, some will stay little more than pay day porn. But it doesn't hurt to look, right? RIGHT?

This slogan comes from a Courtney Barnett track that was one of my favourites of the summer. It's also a message that happens to be one of the best realisations that adult life can bring. I look forward to spreading the good news.

Claudia: The Joystick Eyeliner and Smudge Duo
, £7.50, Marks & Spencer
Claudia Winkleman is well-known for her signature look: uber shiny hair, lashings of dark black eyeliner and fake tan, plus the obligatory nude lip. Now, thanks to M&S, we can all give it a go ourselves: they've teamed up with the Strictly presenter on a range based on her trademark make up menu.
I've yet to try any of them but I'm pretty much sold based on the product names alone: this thick eyeliner is known as 'The Joystick', while there's also an eye set known, brilliantly, as 'Use More, Absolutely Loads'.

Night Sky Jaquard Sweater, £65, & Other Stories

Ahhh & Other Stories. The place of high street dreams. It does a particularly good line in jumpers, and this cute starry number would be great for the festive season.

Nike Air Pegasus, £67, & Other Stories

Jumpers aren't the only thing that & Other Stories excels in. You can often find trainers in there that you won't be able to find in the likes of Office or JD, and these vintage-style off white Nikes are high on my current wish list.

A Little Life – Hanya Yanagihara, from £5.61, Amazon

A contender for this year's Man Booker Prize, A Little Life has been described as a "relentlessly harrowing epic" so we know it's not exactly going to be contributing to the Christmas cheer as December approaches, but it's also said to be so brilliant it moves commuters to distinctly un-British public tears.

Accordion Pleat Skirt, £39.99, Zara

As soon as it hits November my glitter craving kicks in and this swishy skirt from Zara (providing it's not too long on a five-foot-nothing short arse such as myself) could be a good Christmas party purchase.

I spotted these on the Topshop website last week and found myself with a newfound urge to dress like an ageing City-type. I can't say I've ever owned a pair of pinstripes before but I think together with my white and navy Stan Smiths they could form part of a good smart-cajjjj option for work.
